DESIGN GOAL
Transform a dated primary bathroom into a light, functional retreat through improved layout, custom storage, and timeless, layered materials.
This transitional bathroom renovation transforms a dated layout into a light, spa-like retreat through thoughtful space planning, custom built-ins, and layered finishes. Designed entirely through our online interior design service, the project balances timeless materials with soft coastal tones for a refined, livable result.
The original bathroom layout felt compartmentalized, with angled walls that disrupted flow. By reworking the layout and maximizing the space, we created a more open and functional primary bath with room for a built-in laundry hamper and a redesigned, larger walk-in-closet.
A freestanding tub was repositioned beneath the arched window to maximize natural light, while the shower was redesigned with a cleaner footprint. A custom grey oak vanity, statement tile, and polished finishes add warmth and tailored detail.
Oversized 24x48 marble-look tiles are framed with a contrasting wood-look plank border, blending rustic warmth with refined simplicity.
